My work has been published in Environmental Health Perspectives, American Health, Utne Reader, The Progressive, Alternative Medicine Digest, New Age Journal, EastWest Journal, Australian Wellbeing, E The Environmental Magazine, Transformation Times, Vegetarian Times, Yoga Journal, and Whole Earth Review, among other publications.

Working primarily as a ghostwriter, I have written books on cancer, AIDS, allergies, diabetes, hypertension and autism.  My most recent book, The Rapid Recovery Handbook: Your Complete Guide to Faster Healing After Surgery (Harper Collins 2006), was coauthored with Elizabeth Motyka, MD, and Tom Motyka, DO, and features a foreword by Mehmet Oz, MD. In the course of writing the Alternative Medicine Definitive Guide to Cancer for W. John Diamond, MD, I interviewed and profiled medical experts worldwide who are using a diverse range of innovative cancer treatments.  Other books to which I have contributed include Conquering Autism by Stephen Edelson, MD (Kensington Books, 2000), Breast Cancer Beyond Convention (Pocket Books 2002), Life Over Cancer by Keith I. Block, MD (Random House 2009), Clinicians’ Complete Reference to Complementary & Alternative Medicine (Mosby Inc., Harcourt Health Sciences 2000), and Essentials of Complementary and Alternative Medicine (Lippincott, Williams & Wilkins 1999).

Reprints of my environmental articles have appeared in Environmental Viewpoints (Gale Research, Inc.), Systemic Crisis: A Critical and International Perspective (Holt/Sanders/Dryden Publishers), and Energy Alternatives (Greenhaven Press).  I currently have over 40 scientific articles listed on PubMed, including papers published in the Environmentlal Health Perspectives, International Journal of Cancer, Journal of the National Cancer Institute, The Breast Journal, Integrative Cancer Therapies, and Cancer Treatment Reviews.  Other publications to which I have contributed include the Israeli Medical Journal, Chronobiology International, and Advances: Journal of Mind-Body Health.

I am currently working on a book for women who have faced a diagnosis of breast cancer.

Editing Experience.  Since 2000, I have served as an assistant editor for the peer-reviewed medical journal, Integrative Cancer Therapies.  Part of my role for the journal has been to coordinate and record roundtable discussions among cancer experts.  I also served as copy editor for Environmental Health Perspectives, a journal of the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, and as word processor/copy editor for the Chapel Hill-based Health Sciences Consortium, a medical-scientific publishing house specializing in the creation of manuals and other publications for the pharmaceutical industry.  For seven years, I was a contributing editor to Natural Health magazine.  In the early 1990s, I also served as a newspaper editor and editorial writer for two newspapers in eastern North Carolina.
